ABOUT A. BOUIE PHOTOGRAPHY
I caught the photography bug when my parents gave me a Kodak polaroid camera for my 13th birthday. Much later in life while planning for a trip to Brazil my passion for photography was reignited. I was determined to leave Brazil with the kind of amazing pictures that would transport you back to that place and time. So my boss, an avid photographer, helped me pick a good point/click camera and gave me a quick but valuable lesson on composition.
A few years and many vacation photos later I purchased my first DSLR — a Canon T3 Rebel and I took my first photography class at Photo Manhattan in New York City. It was Digital Photography I, the result of that marvelous beginner experience is my black and white photography project, Water & Elements on display in the Features portfolio. Since that time I have had the wonderful privilege to see and experience different parts of the world and capture moments, happiness, emotions, action, and beauty through photography.
And I am eternally grateful for every opportunity!
